BCMaterials shows its work in additive manufacturing at the 'First Lego League' event

BCMaterials presented its research work on new materials through additive manufacturing within the framework of one of the 'First Lego League' tournaments that took place in the Basque Country on March 2. We participated in the science and technology stands that were installed at the Vitoria-Gasteiz tournament, organized by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).

BCMaterials joins the Emakumeak Zientzian initiative

BCMaterials has participated since this year as one of the coordinating entities of the Emakumeak Zientzian (Women in Science) initiative. As a result of a collective effort, Emakumeak Zientzian annually develops an extensive program of activities around the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Outstanding presence of BCMaterials at the Europe Open Day in Brussels

BCMaterials had an outstanding participation in the Europe Open Day celebrated in Brussels in early May as ambassadors of the MSCA-RISE Action in the Water and Oceans Missions stand at the event. Our researchers Roberto Fernández de Luis, María Calles and Leire Celaya represented our center, which acts as secondee and coordinator of the INDESMOF-RISE-MSCA action and partners of Tailing23Green and SOLARSENIC projects.

Fangyuan Zheng, awarded at the EU TalentON event for a project for detecting and monitoring microplastics in the sea

Fangyuan Zheng, pre-doctoral researcher at BCMaterials, has been one of the young scientists awarded at EU TalentON, an event held from September 14 to 18 in Leiden (The Netherlands). This initiative brought together a hundred researchers from different countries to provide solutions for the five missions included in the Horizon Europe program of the European Union. These missions contribute to achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal, the European Plan to Fight Cancer and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Three BCMaterials researchers, among the 100 young scientists to participate in the TalentON European Event

From September 14 to 18, BCMaterials researchers Leire Celaya, Amaia Zarandona and Fangyuan Zheng will participate in EU TalentON, an event organized by the European Union that will bring together a hundred young scientists from different countries in Leiden (The Netherlands) to contribute with solutions for the five missions included in the Horizon Europe programme.
