Ana Jiménez Amaya, New Pre-Doctoral Researcher

We would like to welcome Ana Jiménez Amaya as a new predoctoral researcher at BCMaterials. She joins our center to work on the area of micro- and nanostructured materials, with a particular focus on optical nanoprinting. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Cadiz (Spain), Ana pursued a Master’s degree in Supramolecular Chemistry in the University of Salamanca (Spain). The last two years she has been a Research Associate in the University of Hamburg (Germany), whose research has been focused on the directed assembly of plasmonic nanoparticles. While at BCMaterials, Ana will continue her predoctoral studies developing novel strategies for the controlled assembly and patterning of nanoparticles on solid substrates using optothermophoretic forces.
