‘Materials for Society’. Talk and Discussion with Jorge García del Arco

On June 18th, starting at 11:00 a.m., in the Martina Casiano Auditorium in Leioa, BCMaterials launches a new chapter of ‘Materials for Society’—an initiative that bridges science with art, culture, innovation, and the pressing challenges of our modern world.
This appointment features a compelling talk and discussion with one of the Basque region’s foremost experts in Deep Tech and impactful science and technology projects: Jorge García del Arco. In this talk, titled "Deep Tech: Science to Change the World," García del Arco will provide an inspiring overview of his professional journey. He will emphasize his dedication to cutting-edge technologies, including quantum technology, and his work on projects aimed at addressing the significant global challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The event will be especially relevant for researchers, as we will explore the mechanisms and resources necessary to evaluate the viability of scientific and technological ideas, guiding them from conception to market. Additionally, we will discuss emerging trends within our sector. All of this will be presented through the unique perspective of a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience, skilled at translating theory into practical solutions.
Admission is free, but seats are limited—please arrive early to secure your place.
