Fortnightly seminar online by Stefan Wuttke
25 Years of Reticular Chemistry by Stefan Wuttke
The design and synthesis of materials is a cornerstone of synthetic chemistry. Since its discovery a quarter of a century ago, reticular synthesis of 2D and 3D extended crystalline porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) has been added to the repertoire of synthetic chemists. In this talk, I wish to highlight the progress that has been made in the design and synthesis of these materials, show how their pores can further be functionalized, and how complexity can be introduced into their backbones. Further, I would like to highlight some future directions of our group.
The seminar will be online due to COVID restrictions.
