Two new pre-doctoral researchers at BCMaterials

We would like to welcome to our center two new pre-doctoral researchers: Masuma Suleymanova and Ana Gómez Simón, who will work in the computational materials science and active and smart materials research lines, respectively.
Masuma Suleymanova is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from the French-Azerbaijani University. She subsequently continued her education within the Erasmus Mundus double master's programme in Advanced Functional Materials Science and Engineering, graduating from the Grenoble Institute of Technology and the University of Liège.
Suleymanova comes to BCMaterials as a researcher in the Track The Twin PhD network, within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. She will be involved in DFT calculations of colloidal quantum dots and the development of machine learning force fields that will eventually contribute to the creation of a quantum dot digital twin.
Ana Gómez Simón obtained her Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering with a specialization in Electronic Systems from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and her Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Zaragoza. Throughout her academic career, she has focused on electronic systems for biomedical applications, particularly on the design and evaluation of electrical stimulation platforms for ex vivo cardiac tissue and the fabrication and characterization of flexible multi-electrode arrays.
At BCMaterials, Gómez Simón will work on materials for piezoelectric and magnetoelectric stimulation for cardiac repair.
