BCMaterials, the Basque Center on Materials, Applications and Nanostructures, presents "Women + Science = A Journey Through Time", an initiative that is part of the International Week of Women and Girls in Science. This event will be held on February 10 and 11 and will bring together students from different schools in Bizkaia (Basyqe Country). An interesting exhibition and the possibility for the students of making their first scientific poster are the attractions of this initiative.

BCMaterials congratulates on the incorporation of Mikel Anzola and Iñigo Pérez as new Pre-Doctoral researchers. Their arrival at the center takes place within the framework of the actions foreseen in the IKUR Strategy, which is led and financed by the Department of Education of the Basque Government.

BCMaterials will lead the ECLiCare project (Electrochemiluminescent bioassays for personal point of care diagnostics), one of the only two projects related with health that have received funding from the New Aquitaine-Basque Country-Navarre Euroregion, within the framework of the "Knowledge Economy 2021 ” call .

10 BCMaterials researchers are on the ‘Ranking of the World Scientists: World’s Top 2% Scientists’ a list published each year by the Stanford University in the United States. This ranking, considered the most prestigious in the world in its specialty, reflects the names of the researchers most cited internationally.
