BCMaterials & Master in New Materials invited talk: Prof. Dimitris Kouzoudis
MAGNETOELASTIC MATERIALS: FROM BASIC PROPERTIES TO APPLICATIONS IN MAGNETOELASTIC RESONANCE SENSORS Prof. Dimitris Kouzoudis, Chemical Engineering Department, University of Patras, Greece Dimitris KouzoudisProf. Dimitris Kouzoudis was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece. He received his BS degrees in Physics from the University of Ioannina, Greece in 1990, and his MS and PhD degrees in Physics from the Iowa State University in 1997 and 1999, respectively. Dr. Kouzoudis was Post-doctorate Researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Kentucky. Actually, he is Prof. at the University of Patras. His research interests include the design and the development of remote-query magnetoelastic sensors loads, pressure, flow velocity, humidity and precipitation of biological salts in aqueous for monitoring of environmental / chem / bio parameters, such as gas concentration, small mass solutions, blood coagulation time, and glucose concentration. Hi also worked on photolysis of water with titanium-oxide nanotubes. You can download the abstract here.
