Ekainaren 20tik 22ra, Europako zientzia neutronikoetako aditu nagusietako batzuk IMoH 2022, 1st International Meeting on Challenges and Opportunities for HICANS kongresuan bildu ziren. Martina Casiano eraikineko auditorioan (BCMaterials-en egoitzan) egin zen ekitaldia, eta aitzindaria izan zen nazioartean HICANen tratamendu espezifikoan.

BCMaterials, new partner of the Basque Paper Cluster Association

BCMaterials has signed an agreement with the Basque Paper Cluster Association to become a member of this institution. The objective of joining the cluster is to add value to the paper sector in the Basque Country, through BCMaterials' knowledge of new sustainable materials that can lead to industrial applications. The Basque Paper Cluster Association r is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 by 19 companies.

An international and interdisciplinary team of scientists, comprising Stefan Wuttke, Ikerbasque Research Professor at BCMaterials, and Steven Boxer from Stanford University (USA), has received a prestigious three-year Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) Grant.

Sheila Maíz, new Post-Doctoral Researcher

Sheila Maíz Fernández re-joined BCMaterials as Post-Doctoral Researcher. Sheila, who developed her PRe-Doctoral period working at this center, got her PhD in December 2021. She defended the thesis named  "Development of in situ forming, polysaccharide-based self-healable and printable hydrogels for soft actuators and biomedical applications”. Sheila will work in the new line of Neurobioscience, within the IKUR strategy, promoted and funded by theDepartment of Education of the Basque Government.
