Eduardo Fernandez from BCMaterials has received an Extraordinary Doctoral award for his thesis titled “Thin film magnetoimpedance micro-structures for sensing applications”. The thesis board gives this award basing on the number and quality of the publications originated in the thesis. The award consist on the refund of the thesis tax.  

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials (JMMM) has opened a new section called Critical Focused Issue with the paper tittled "Role of the antiferromagnetic bulk spins in exchange bias". One of the authors of this paper is Rafael Morales, member of BCMaterials.  

The newspaper El Correo published on monday an article about the VIII Meeting of Spanish Neutron Users Society held in Bilbao between 26^th and 29^th of June and organised by BCMaterials and ESS Bilbao. You can see all the information about the meeting here

Andrés Martín Cid, Graduate Student from BCmaterials was awarded in this year E-MRS (European Materials Research Society) Spring meeting for his oral presentation, entitled “Tetragonal Ce-based Ce-Sm(Fe, Co, Ti) 12 alloys for permanent magnets”. He received the award within the Symposium E (Substitution of critical raw materials: synthesis, characterization and processing of new advanced materials in optoelectronic and magnetic devices). The meeting was held in Lile, France between May 2^nd and 5^th 2016

Nanotechnology journal has chosen a BCMaterials article for the front page of its volume 27, number 17 published on April 29^th of 2016.
