Laboratory for electric and magnetic characterization of materials and prototypes. The lab counts of equipments to test the dependence of materials properties and prototypes with magnetic field, tension/deformation and temperature/humidity.

Graduated in Physics from the University of the Basque Country in 2008 and Doctor from the same university in 2013. Since 2009, he has been working on different basic research and applied research projects focused mainly on medicine, characterization and micro / nano patronage of magnetic materials in thin films for application in sensors. He has been done a research stay during his predoctoral stage at the University of Durham (United Kingdom) and Caen (France). A 2-year postdoctoral stay as a BCMaterials researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), focused on the surface nanopatter by self-assembling block copolymer. He is the author of 25 contributions at international conferences, as well as 42 scientific publications in international journals with more than 580 citations and an index of 16 (Scopus). He has also collaborated on more than 5 research projects funded by regional, national and European entities during the last 5 years.

In case you want to do any measurement, indicate the requirements and measurement conditions. It´s use is subject to availability, most of the equipments are used in multifunctional materials characterizations.

Tabletop 3D printer with dual extrusion to print different materials (PLA / ABS / Nylon / PET-G / TPU / PVA) simultaneously. It has a maximum impression volume of 210mm x 297mm x 210mm, bed temperature of 100 C and hotends maximum temperature of 280C. The layer thinness goes from 0.05 mm up to 0.5 mm (depending on the nozzle diameter), and a Positioning resolution (X / Y / Z) of 12,5 µm / 12,5 µm / 1 µm.

BCN3D/ Sigma 2018

It can perform standard tensile, bending tests on materials, components, and structures. The maximum tension that can apply is 500N and has two load cells: 500N and 5 5 N. The flexion tests can be done in 3 or 4 points.

Shimadzu/ AGS-J 500N 2006

Enclosure to test the effects of temperature and humidity in materials and electronics. It has a volume of 224 L (600 x 535 x 700mm (WxDxH), with a temperature range of -40°C to +180°C and humidity of 10% to 98% in the range +5°C to +95°C.

Angelantoni Test technologies/ ACS CH250 2013

Automated experimental system for measuring magnetoelastic resonance from 10Hz up to 150 MHz and a field resolution up to 8 A/m and maximum magnetic field of 11 kA/m.
