Abstract:

In the wide horizons of Solid Coordination Networks (SCNs), Metalloporphyrin frameworks arouse intensive research interest [1,2]. Due to the ubiquitous biological functions of metalloporphyrins in nature (for example light-harvesting, and in oxygen transportation), building coordination architectures through porphyrin ligands becomes exceedingly desirable in pursuance of mimicking their diverse biological functionalities[3]. In this context, this work presents the synthesis and characterization of two new compounds: [Mn3(TCPP) (H2O)4]⋅nD (1) and [Mn(TCPP)(H2O)2]⋅nD (2)(D=dimethylformamide, Ethanol; TCPP= meso-tetracarboxyphenylporphyrin).
